How To Play YouTube Videos In Background?
We all know what YouTube is. It’s the go-to place for watching your choice of millions of videos. But, sometimes you just want to listen to the audio in the background whilst you get on with something else on your android phone. The problem is that closing down the YouTube app causes the video to stop playing.
This can be really annoying, but there are ways around it. So, here I’ll explain how you can avoid this problem and start listening to YouTube music in the background whilst you get on with other stuff. There are a few ways of doing this. Some involve downloading apps, and others require you to use certain browser types. Here are the best ways to play YouTube in the background.
Method 1: Browser Option :
1- Use FireFox or Chrome
This is probably the easiest and quickest way of playing YouTube music in the background on your Android phone. What’s more, it’s a completely free solution to the problem. Rather than using the YouTube app, head over to the YouTube website on FireFox or Chrome. Search for the artist or song you want to play, start the video and simply minimize the browser.
Some people have found that the YouTube app opens automatically when you go on YouTube’s mobile site on these browsers. If that’s the case then tap the 3 dot menu in the top right of the screen and click to request the desktop site.
With this option, you can listen to YouTube music in the background, even when your android’s locked!

2- Bubble Browser
A bubble browser basically floats above the user interface. You can minimize it so it’s just a small icon. Try out ones like Flyer link which make it easy to access YouTube.
In the bubble browser, head onto YouTube’s website for mobile and start playing. Even when you turn your screen off or navigate elsewhere YouTube will continue to play.

Method 2 : App Option :
This app’s a YouTube client that offers a floating video player which mean you can play a YouTube video over any other app you want to use. With this option, you can listen to YouTube music in the background as well as having the option to look at the video in the small icon if you wish.
Other similar apps you could try out that are similar to NewPipe include the likes of MinTube.
2- Awesome Pop-up Video
Download the Awesome Pop-up Video app for free in the Google PlayStore. Then, search for the YouTube video you want to listen to, and this app will automatically minimize it to a pop-up window. This is another great app option that allows you to listen to YouTube music in the background.

Method 3 : Paid Option :
Another way of getting around this problem is by investing in YouTube Premium. Now with this option, you do have to pay a subscription cost of around $11.99, but it does mean you can play all videos in the background whilst you play around with other apps. YouTube Premium also gets rid of annoying ads, which is an extra bonus in my opinion.
